Assignment:

Within AWL, systems are developed in which different actors influence each other. These actors include robots, sorters, infeeds, etc. Because these actors operate within a certain range, it is not possible to program a fixed sequence with a specific cadence. This makes it hard to define the output of the machine in advance.

Since we have to define an throughput during the sales process and realize it in the engineering process, we would like to investigate which simulation tool can be used to simulate these systems. Think about Flexsim, Visual Components, etc.

The assignment means:

– Understanding what kind of systems AWL realises Drawing up requirements and wishes.

– Analysing simulation tools.

– Building simulation(s) to see if they meet the requirements and wishes.

Level of the assignment:

–          Education level: WO / HBO. Studies like Mechanical engineering, Robotics, industrial automation.
